Understanding and Addressing COVID’s Impact on Housing among Black Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Survivors: Implications for Regional-Specific, Culturally-Sensitive Solutions
Summary
This study aimed to understand the processes by which Black intimate partner violence (IPV) survivors’ access, obtain, and maintain affordable, safe, and stable housing in the context of violence, the COVID-19 pandemic, and structural racism. Semi-structured interviews with Black women IPV survivors were conducted to identify survivor-centered recommendations to strengthen housing policies, programs, and funding priorities for Black women’s needs.
